It aims to improve leadership skills of the superintendents, to develop a community of learners at the superintendent level, and to conduct discussion groups on major issues in the field. The Institute provides a strong support system, and it increases and improves the pool of potential superintendents. The Superintendent Leadership Institute has an active partnership with the Regional Professional Development Center (RPDC) at UMKC.
