It serves educators in Cass, Clay, Jackson, and Platte counties and is governed by a broad-based advisory board composed of teachers, administrators, higher education representatives and community persons. The purpose of the center is to support the educational community by promoting and facilitating professional development opportunities. The center sponsors workshops, graduate credit classes, support groups, consultation, network groups, leadership training, technical assistance and other professional development activities.
