The Berkley Child and Family Development Center provides quality care and education for young children, and serves as a research training site for UMKC students. The center is administered through the School of Education and is part of the academic unit. It is accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children and licensed by the state of Missouri. Enrollment is open to the University population and the community for children aged 3 months to 6 years. During the summer, programming is also provided for children aged 6 to 12 years. Tuition assistance scholarships are available and are awarded based on financial need. The center is accessible to children with special needs.
