The Centers collect and analyze data from the participating pubic schools. that provides a baseline for measuring growth within schools as they move through renewal processes. The Basic School Regional Center in Kansas City partners with other centers and the School of Education to host conferences aimed at improving the effectiveness of public education. The Center collaborates with the Missouri Center for Safe Schools, Missouri Accelerated Schools, the Kansas City Regional Professional Development Center, Character Plus, and the School of Education to build productive relationships with other organizations such as Stop Violence, Project Essential, Character Plus, Safe Schools, KC Star in Education, Partnership for Children, National Peer Helpers Association, National Council for Community and Justice, and the Council for Community Collaboration.
